Follow Howard into the Pharaoh’s Tomb.

Highly Accurate Models and Stunning Visual Effects, Toward the Valley of the Kings.

The significance of the discovery, one of the most famous in the history of Egyptology and one of the most relevant in global archaeology, lies in the fact that it is one of the few tombs from ancient Egypt that has come down to us nearly intact. It’s the only tomb of a ruler and consequently, among those known, the richest. Howard Carter’s discovery on November 4, 1922, was made possible through the support of Lord Carnarvon’s sponsorship. With this experience, we relive the day that marked Howard’s life until its end. The tomb’s opening and the secrets it held—what sensations did he experience?

The experience is designed to showcase the magnificence of those treasures, digitally modeled and sculpted to honor the original artifacts, shimmering as our viewpoint moves, in real time. Indeed, we’re not watching a video, so lights and shadows move coherently. Particle effects, managed by Meta Quest’s graphic acceleration and optimized by our studio to run smoothly on headsets without interruptions or overload, allow us to observe the unobservable, like the Pharaoh’s Ka guiding us toward the door of a world we can’t yet comprehend.

The achieved levels of graphic quality also provide full immersion, accompanied by an extremely realistic spatial audio presence. The experience is currently available and viewable at the National Museum of Biella.
