Through cutting-edge headsets, the virtual tour of Casa Azul experience allows you to wander through the famous exotic garden that Frida cherished as a jewel throughout her life. Casa Azul follows a track where the seated visitor can look around and marvel at the meticulous detail with which we designed the entire environment. From cataloging the vegetation to the sculptures present, every corner is crafted to astonish the viewer and guide them on a memorable journey.
On the technical side
This experience is neither a stereoscopic 360 video nor a shaky recording placed on a device with a poorly calibrated gyroscope. Instead, it’s all processed in real-time with 6 degrees of freedom before locking movement and guiding users along a predefined track. Since it’s not based on a rendering engine, the graphic quality can’t match that of pre-rendered products. This presented a considerable risk during distribution, but this concern was completely refuted by the interviews and reviews given by end-users after the experience.
Furthermore, we’ve programmed specific plug-and-play actions that allowed the reception staff to monitor users as minimally as possible. Some actions we implemented weren’t available for the non-business version of the Quest 2 model. For instance, the tour reset in case the user repositioned the headset in its housing, to then resume from the beginning the virtual tour when the next user wears the headset.
